Swing Jazz & Tap Dance | Volha&Bari Trio & Rita Biezēka

On July 18, MASA jazz club will host a concert program that combines live music from the golden age of swing with a tap dance performance.

 

Swing and tap dance have historically developed alongside each other, and have been jointly shaping swing culture since the 1930s. Two charismatic soloists will meet on stage — tap dancer Rita Biezēka and baritone saxophonist Volha, who, together with pianist Krists Saržants and drummer Sigvards Dižois, will perform swing-era music and blues classics.
