A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) began his journey in music at just 8 years old. Since then, he has become one of the most influential artists of his generation. Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Rocky saw music in his early youth as a means of escape from a challenging social environment. This personal experience is strongly reflected in his creative work, which stands out for its bold style, breaking of genre boundaries, and unique aesthetic, significantly influencing both the music and fashion worlds.

A$AP Rocky developed his artistic identity as part of the creative collective A$AP Mob, which became a crucial launching point at the start of his professional career. He gained wider recognition in 2011 with the critically acclaimed mixtape “Live.Love.A$AP,” giving a new sound to East Coast hip-hop. This was followed by his debut album “Long.Live.A$AP,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and later achieved double platinum status. The album’s hit “F**kin’ Problems” was nominated for a Grammy Award. His subsequent albums “At.Long.Last.A$AP” and “Testing” also received widespread attention, standing out for their experimental approach, strong visual identity, and artistic boldness.

Throughout his career, A$AP Rocky has collaborated with a range of world-renowned artists, including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and 2 Chainz, as well as Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, and FKA twigs. He has also participated in A$AP Mob projects alongside artists such as Playboi Carti and Frank Ocean. Repeatedly demonstrating his ability to combine the seemingly incompatible, Rocky has created popular and critically acclaimed works beyond the traditional framework of hip-hop, sampling songs by musicians such as Tame Impala and Moby.

A$AP Rocky has received multiple industry awards, including BET and MTV awards, and has been nominated for the Grammy music award three times. In addition to his work as a musician, he has directed music videos for himself and other members of the A$AP Mob collective, and also produces music under the pseudonym Lord Flacko.

Beyond music, A$AP Rocky is also actively involved in the fashion and creative industries. He is the creative director for the brands Ray-Ban and PUMA and has taken part in campaigns for several international brands. Rocky’s founded creative agency AWGE has carried out collaborations with leading fashion and culture brands and has also fostered the career development of new artists.
