On 29 November, Kathmandu Fusion Band will perform at MASA — a project that blends jazz improvisation with Eastern instruments and rhythms.
The group is led by Anatolijs Popovs, a representative of the Ravi Shankar school, whose mastery of the sitar and deep knowledge of Indian culture and music he will share during the concert.
He will be joined by Deniss Pashkevich (saxophone, flute, synthesizers) and Olegs Grishins (drums), crossing the boundaries between acoustic and electronic, free improvisation and structured form.
