Concert is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
Composer, singer-songwriter, actor, author, and activist Sting was born in Newcastle, England and he made his mark when he co-founded The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers in 1977. The band released five studio albums, secured six Grammy, and two Brit awards, earning them a place in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. Secret to his longevity is simple, Sting himself said in an interview this May. “I'm curious! I'm curious about music itself. I'm still a student of music. I still practice every day, I still study,” he noted. “That's the wonderful mystery of it – the enigma of music – but also I'm willing to learn.
